Letterpress Workshop
In this workshop, I learned the process of letterpress printing using woodtype and metaltype. I began with designing layouts and “blueprints” in Photoshop, and then arranged the letter type into a metal chase/frame. From this workshop, I learned the importance of precision and attention to detail in the context of setting type into the chase and filling in the spaces with wood blocks and lead spacers.
