Process Reader is a tactile book outlining four distinct projects from Kelsey Elder’s Experiential Design course, from initial ideation to final execution. Each project is realized through thoughtful consideration of each detail from an experiential lens. This book documents the thought process, experimentations, prototypes, experience charts, diagrams, sketches, materials, photos, printouts, and physical remnants of the final experiences. The book’s formal construction reflects the four distinct projects under a single course. The spine is comprised of four separate spiral coils entertwined to form the base of a singular book. From mid-March to April, I enrolled in a 4-week UI/UX workshop course where I had to redesign the RISD app and streamline the RISD ride-share ordering service. I conducted user interviews, collected information from current RISD students and observed their needs and wants from the school’s RISDrides app ordering service. I worked on ideating, researching, designing, and prototyping a solution for the app to increase efficiency in accessing features and ordering a ride.I created wireframes, prototype interactions, ︎︎︎ 11-2021 | Design Studio IIIAdvised by Hammett Nurosi at Rhode Island School of Design. The Providence Arcade is one of the oldest enclosed shopping malls in the US. Built in 1828, it has been a landmark of the city’s urban fabric and an emblem of its historical and cultural identity. Over the years, the arcade has undergone several renovations and changes of ownership, reflecting the city’s shifting economic and cultural conditions. Today, the arcade continues to be a symbol of the city’s resilience and adaptability, a testament to the power of community engagement and preservation. Its layered history and cultural significance make it an essential part of the city’s identity, and a fascinating subject for exploration and discovery. My collaborators and I visited the building, observed/recorded its physical and visceral qualities, interviewed small businesses in the place, and gathered records from The Rhode Island Historical Society. This large meta-map, or historical catalogue, unfolds into two different sides with many pop-ups, pull-outs, and pockets containing the layers of history and information that come with the Providence Arcade.For this historical catalogue, we hope to at once expand and flatten the many historical, social, ephemeral, and physical layers of history embedded within the building known as The Arcade. Branding Mash Redesign&nbsp; Mash is an existing sparkling juice brand that I have personally consumed in the past. I loved the drink flavors, but the original packaging did not reflect how exciting and fun the flavors were. As a result, I decided to redesign the packaging. I created illustrations for each of the flavors and redesigned the packaging to be more fun.
